The company
Eigen Haard housing association rents out and manages 45,000 houses, garages and company units in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its aim is to work on vigorous areas to improve the living conditions of the tenants.

 

The cooperation with Intervolve
Intervolve also wants to improve living conditions, but of poor inhabitants of slum areas in developing countries. To Eigen Haard this was and is enough reason to become a partner ever since the establishment of our foundation in 1995. The association not only considers itself responsible for the living situation in the Netherlands, but also supports the international targets of Intervolve to express this responsibility.

 

The results
Eigen Haard played an important role in the establishment of Own Haven Housing Association in East London (South Africa). At that time Intervolve made use of the means and expertise of Eigen Haard which helped build up the capacity of the South African housing association.
